Sports have always played an important part of my life. I noticed from a young age that I had a natural talent and was gifted with many of the traits that make a good athlete.
I was introduced to golf when I was ten years old and quickly acquired a passion for the game. Golf is a sport of confidence, honesty and patience. It has taught me to practice these traits and virtues in my everyday life. It has helped align my goals and future aspirations. I know, without a doubt, that I want to dedicate myself and my energy to this sport. My name is Drew Kovacs and I absolutely love the game of golf!
I am extremeley proud of my achievements to this point. Some of my highlighted accomplishments are listed within the pages of this website. This past year, I have done much research on different training methods and techniques and have kept up to date with daily news and tournament information in the world of international golf. I am looking forward to much training ahead with coaches, new courses and relentless practice. I feel there is always more to learn. I appreciate feedback, take the advice of knowledgeable others seriously and welcome the chance to continue my development as a player and person.
I live in Jasper, Alberta, Canada. I am fortunate to have grown up in the heart of The Canadian Rockies. It is also a privilege to call Canada’s #1 Golf Resort, The Jasper Park Lodge, my home course. I have spent my life engaged in a variety of outdoor activities, adventures and competitive sport. Fortunately, I have had access to many opportunities and live in a coveted area that hones the skills of any natural athlete. My surroundings, supportive family and innate athletic gifts have helped propel me to success in every sport I have played or participated in.
However, golf is where my dedication, sincere efforts and motivation lie. This is the sport I want to to focus my future work ethic toward. I am a coachable athlete with a calm, yet driven, smart, personable demeanor, both on and off the course.
My Goals
I have a true passion for golf. I take golf very seriously and wish to play competitive collegiate golf where I will excel and continue to work hard, ultimately following my dream of competing in the PGA tour.
